Ethiopia has been called the Cradle of Humanity. It was in Ethiopia where the oldest human ancestor fossil was found. This fossil was nicknamed Lucy. Her skeleton is 3.2 million years old!
Ethiopia is also the only African country to never have been ruled by a foreign empire.
