Miss Rebekah Visits Guatemala

Guatemala is a beautiful country in Central America.  It is filled with soulful, diverse people, vibrant market places and rich traditions.

It is the most populous country in Central America.  Guatemala is just a little bit smaller than our state, Pennsylvania.

Guatemalan cemeteries are colorfully decorated to celebrate loved ones.

If you ever hear someone say, "Whatever happened to the Mayans?," you can answer, "Nothing, dude!  They are alive and well and their culture is way cool and you can visit Guatemala to meet some!  Some churches in Guatemala are used for both Mayan and Catholic worship.

Watch the show here!  Put a hold on Guatemala right here!  Miss Rebekah also read In the Rainforest and you can check that book out by placing a hold on it here.

Guatemala is a county in which money is spread out very unevenly.  A very few people have a great deal of money.  Most of the people in Guatemala are forced to live in poverty.  We can keep Guatemalan citizens in our thoughts and learn more about the ways we can help.  We can encourage our elected officials to provide ethical, empowering support to our siblings in other parts of the world.  Learn more about the ways in which our country works with other countries for the benefit of all.
